Small Talk

Small talk is an important strategic communication tool to establish contact, position oneself, and prepare for further discussion. Many people know this yet have reservations and misgivings: How do I start a conversation? What do I say? How should I behave and position myself? How do I avoid making a blunder? How can I use these conversations effectively?
Once you have mastered the rules of small talk, you will be able to converse with others with confidence and ease. Further, you will be able to position yourself and garner sympathy and contacts as well as form a foundation for further discussions.
