This course is intended to strengthen spontaneous speaking abilities in English as well as oral presentations. Conversations regarding both academic and non-academic subjects, current events and situational topics (travel arrangements, food, small talk, etc.) form the core of the lessons. Participants are encouraged to suggest both topics and occasional reading material as well as to speak freely and spontaneously for roughly the first half of each lesson. Systematic grammar and vocabulary problems are then discussed in the second half of each lesson with direct reference to mistakes and difficulties occurring in the course of the conversation. Supplemental grammar exercises are included as needed.

Requirement: Course participants should enter with English skills at a B2-level.
