German as a Foreign Language

TU Berlin's language policy is based upon three central principles:

1. German as the central language

2. English as a second language

3. Embracing multilingualism and intercultural competence

To promote TU Berlin's language policy, Human Resources and Continuing Education offers not only English courses for different skill levels, but also the opportunity to learn German as the central language in teaching, research, and administration.

The course German as a Foreign Language is oriented towards TU Berlin staff who would like to improve their German skills in order to communicate with others at the University in everyday affairs and participate long-term in the German-speaking research, teaching, and administration community. 

Participants can arrange for specific topics to be addressed in the course.

Target group: TU Berlin staff

Requirements: You should already have basic German skills.

To assess your skills, you can take the placement test offered by the Center for Modern Languages:
