Expressing yourself and convincing others - fine-tuning your verbal skills, developing your physical and vocal presence

The impression you make on others depends to a great extent on your body language and your voice. If you want to persuade others, your body language needs to reflect the message you wish to convey.

This practically-oriented seminar provides you the opportunity to try out techniques and tactics for improving your ability to express yourself and convince others as well as for using your verbal skills to achieve specific goals.

Inhalte und Ziele:

  • The first impression - what impression do I make, what image do I project?
  • Self-perception and how others perceive me: body language – voice – self-presentation
  • Posture and movement analysis - correcting bad posture
  • Body training, power postures and nonverbal presence: sitting, standing, walking (Spiraldynamik® exercises)
  • Voice training
  • Presenting yourself: using your body and voice to make your points convincingly
  • Speech and training structures: free, spontaneous speech training
  • Free speaking and presenting
  • Stage fright: physical and mental tricks
  • Small talk and self-confidence when interacting with others
  • Assertion strategies for meetings
  • Tips and tricks

Methods and approaches: Coach training with video analysis and support, short presentations, example cases as well as practical exercises. Training, training, training

Target group: Management in academic and administrative units
