Human resource development instruments

Human resource development instruments serve to structure and guide the various processes involved in managing human resources. Essential for their successful implementation is to ensure that they are implemented in a professional way, i.e. exactly tailored to the context of the University, taking into account its size, organizational form, specifics and strategic focus.
Human resource development instruments support management by enabling them to best develop their staff according to their potential. A good example of such an instrument is the staff-management talk. This provides the opportunity to sit together, as part of the process of working together, to identify common areas of development and to agree on the appropriate means of support to achieve developmental objectives.
Human resource development instruments further serve as a means to support the management at Technische Universität in the implementation of common strategic objectives. Instruments which have a very significant organizational impact, such as structured selection processes, have to be closely linked to the strategic objectives of the organization and adapted to the needs of the staff.
We in Human Resources and Continuing Education are continually working on the preparation and further development of such instruments, and thus are seeking to contribute towards a positive and targeted development of human resources and the University organization.
