Freie Universität Berlin has made an agreement with several major Berlin university libraries, including TUB library, as well as libraries in seven of the city’s boroughs concerning a flat-rate settlement regarding individual participant fees for continuing education courses. This means that employees of these libraries or institutes do not have to pay individual participant fees, and will not receive any notification of charges when admitted to the course.
For courses leading to qualifications for university or public library staff, courses for media and information services specialists, as well as the certification programs for:
- management in libraries,
- management in archives and
- online research,
staff from the libraries paying the flat rate fee receive a reduction in costs.
You need to inform Continuing Education concerning your registration (copy of registration with approval of your line manager). Should you register without informing Continuing Education, then TUB will not be able to assume the costs for the training program. Information about library courses offered in cooperation with the Continuing Education Section of FUB can be obtained from Petra Strunk – University Library, Tel.:76379 - or directly from the FUB, Otto-von-Simson-Str.13-15, 14195 Berlin, Tel.: 8385 1457.
